What is Task Archiving on Plant Batches and how does it work?

Archiving a Task on a plant batches allows you to remove incorrect logged Tasks

Overview

The Archive Task feature allows users to archive logged tasks on a Plant Batch without deleting them.

Archiving removes tasks from reports while preserving all historical data, ensuring traceability, auditability, and regulatory compliance.

This feature is useful when tasks were:

  • Logged by mistake

  • Logged with incorrect information

  • No longer relevant for reporting purposes


Why archive a task?

Archiving tasks helps keep reports and task lists accurate and clean while maintaining a complete audit trail. When a task is archived, it is removed from reports.


What happens when a task is archived?

When a task is archived:

  • The task is removed from:

    • Cultivation Report

    • PMBR

    • Tasks tab of the Plant Batch

How to Archive a Task on a Plant Batch

To archive a task:

  1. Open the Plant Batch

  2. Go to the Tasks tab

  3. Locate the task you want to archive

  4. In the Actions column, click Archive

  5. Confirm the action in the dialog window

You will be asked:

Are you sure you want to archive this task?

  • Yes → The task is archived and the dialog closes

  • No → The task is not archived and the dialog closes


Who can archive tasks?

Archiving tasks depends on user role permissions.

Only users with the appropriate edit cultivation permissions can archive tasks on a Plant Batch.

If you do not see the Archive action, your role may not have the required permissions.


Important notes

  • Archiving a task does not permanently delete it. It can be restored.

  • Archived tasks are excluded from reports.
