Understand Each Phase of your Plant Batch's Lifecycle, from Immature to Harvest, and How to Change Them
In cannabis cultivation, each plant batch progresses through four distinct life phases, each requiring specific attention and documentation.
In this article, you'll find this list of topics that you can click on to quickly access the information you need:
Life Phases
Phase 1: Immature Phase
- Duration: Typically around 10 days.
- Description: This phase marks the germination of the plant. Tasks such as planting, the addition of additives like fertilizer and pest control must be meticulously recorded.
Phase 2: Vegetative Phase
- Duration: Typically around 14 days.
- Description: During this phase, the plant experiences vigorous growth. Activities such as applying additives, implementing recipes, taking cuttings, making observations, and managing waste are documented.
Phase 3: Flowering Phase
- Duration: Lasting 55 to 110 days.
- Description: This critical phase signifies the onset of flower development. Similar to the vegetative phase, activities such as applying additives, implementing recipes, making observations, managing displacements, and handling waste are recorded.
Phase 4: Harvest Phase
- Duration: Typically around 7 days.
- Description: The culmination of the cultivation cycle, where the plant reaches maturity and is ready for harvest. Activities such as harvesting, applying additives, implementing recipes, making observations, managing displacements, and handling waste are documented.
Change Phases for Individual Plant Batches
-
Activate Immature Phase:
-
- When creating a new plant batch, the immature phase is initially grayed out
-
- When ready to progress to the next phase, click on the Start Phase button
- The next phase will turn green, indicating that it's active and its parameters can be edited
Change Phases for Multiple Plant Batches
-
Navigate to Project:
-
Go to Cultivation > Projects and click on the desired project
-
-
Select Batches:
-
Click on the rows of the plant batches you want to change into the next phase; they will be highlighted with a blue background
-
-
Move to Next Phase:
-
Click on the Next Phase button
-
This action is only possible if all plant batches are currently in the same phase
-
-
Confirm Action:
-
The system will prompt you to confirm the action
-
Click on Yes to confirm or No to cancel the action
-
Reactivate or Edit a Phase
Reactivate
It is possible to edit the previous phases at any time by clicking on the Restart button in the desired phase.
Edit Actual Start and End Dates
You can also edit the dates of the actual start and end, by clicking on the green Edit button:
By modifying the Actual Start Date of a phase, you also adjust the Actual End Date of the preceding phase, with the exception of the Harvest Phase, where both dates can be changed independently.
For example, to alter the Actual End Date of the Vegetative Phase, you would need to edit the Actual Start Date of the Flowering Phase.
