Invalid packaging code. What can I do?

In projects with serialized package numbers, you may see this error message when scanning the QR code of individual items:

This code has already been used or is invalid. Choose another item. 

Option 1. This packaging has already been scanned and handed in

The serialized number is individual for each package and can only be handed in once.

Practical example:

• Subject chooses product A
• Seller scans item 1 of product A, then takes item 2 of product A and gives it to the subject.
• Result: Article 1 was dispensed according to the system, but is still physically in the point of sale. Item 1 can no longer be sold because the code is already posted to the system.

To check if the packaging has already been handed in:

• Open a blank Word document, Notes or similar
• Scan the packaging code. A serialized number appears in the form of a URL: https://est5.st4.ch/N9hfp9q02riY → the packaging number is N9hfp9q02riY
• In Cannavigia CDS, click on "Submissions" > "Download"
• Open CSV/ Excel and search for the packaging number to see when it was handed in.

Option 2. Illegible or invalid packaging code

If the code is damaged or the print quality is insufficient, it cannot be read correctly and the error message appears. If the packaging code has been formatted incorrectly by the manufacturer, it is invalid and cannot be read.
