Cutting Clones

How to Cut and Register Clones in Cannavigia for Accurate Plant Tracking and Full Traceability

Cuttings, often referred to as clones, are segments removed from a healthy mother plant to propagate new, genetically identical plants. Once placed in a suitable growing medium, they begin to develop roots and establish themselves as independent specimens. Taking cuttings is a key practice in cannabis cultivation, particularly when preserving the genetics of mother plants.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to properly take and register them using the Cannavigia system. Following these steps ensures full traceability and supports compliance with GxP standards throughout your cultivation process.

In this article, you'll find this list of topics that you can click on to quickly access the information you need:

Notes:

Cuttings can only be taken from a plant batch when the plants are in the vegetative growth phase.

Tasks, Projects and areas must be created beforehand.
