Create a New Manufacturing Production

Plan and Manage Manufacturing Productions Efficiently and Control Processes by Optimizing Management of Materials, Equipments and many more

In the Manufacturing module, creating a new production allows for the planning and control of all processes related to product manufacturing. This procedure facilitates the efficient management of resources, such as raw materials, equipment, and waste, while ensuring that all stages of the production process are carried out according to the established specifications. By creating a new production, you can register detailed information about the product, the production schedule, the quantities to be produced, and the resources needed to ensure process efficiency and product quality.

Create a New Production

  1. To start a new production move to the project you would like to create the production: Manufacturing > Projects > Click on project name

  2. Click on the green +Production button to start planning a new production


A window will open in which you can plan your production. The aspects for planning have been separated into tabs to help organize the planning.

Article

 Select an Article and Amount

  1. Select the article you want to manufacture from the drop down menu

  2. Enter the amount you would like to manufacture

Enter an Article Batch ID

  1. The Article Batch ID is automatically generated by the software; however, if you wish to assign one manually, you can do so by entering your preferred ID in the designated field

Enter an Order Number

  1. Enter the Order No. into the correspoding field

Manually add Starting Materials

  1. Additionally the system will calculate your required starting materials based on your Manufacturing Setup as well as the current stock you have of the required article, but you can manually add Starting materials as well

  2. Select the article you would like to add at the bottom of the window

  3. Enter the amount required to manufacture the amount of the article selected at the top

  4. Click on the green Add button

  5. If you want to remove starting materials

    1. Click on the red trash button
    2. The planned article is removed


Planning

In the Planning tab you can set:

  1. The estimated start and estimated time to complete the production

  2. The system will automatically calculate the estimated time to complete the production



Tasks

Tasks are the standardized operations carried out to manufacture this article. This will be automatically filled if you have set it up in the Manufacturing Setup. You can add manufacturing tasks to a specific production or change the order of it by drag and dropping the planned tasks.

 

Add Manufacturing Tasks

  1. Select the task from the drop down

  2. Click on the green Add button

  3. If you want to remove tasks

    1. Click on the red trash button

    2. The planned manufacturing tasks is removed


Supervision

In the Supervision tab you can select the person responsible for this production.

  1. Select one user as Supervisor from the drop down menu

  2. Click on the green Save button 

 

💡Specifying starting materials, planning, and tasks is optional for initiating production but greatly improves efficiency and organization.

Edit a Production

Productions can only be edited when they are planned. Once they are started, they no longer can be edited.

  1. To edit a production click on the green Edit button next to the production, and you can make all changes identical to creating a production

  2. You can also access the edit function inside a production when navigating to Manufacturing > Projects > Click on project name > Click on Production No.

  3. The Production page will open, and you can edit the production by clicking on the green Edit button in the top right corner

Archive and Restore a Production

Productions can be archived and restored if they are either planned or finished.

  1. To archive a production click on the grey Archive button in the project view

  2. A window will open asking you to confirm if you want to archive the production

  3. To restore a production click on the grey Restore button in the project view in the Archive tab
