Ensure Accurate Packaging Corrections in both Harvest and Article Batches
Maintaining accurate traceability across all stages of cannabis processing is essential for regulatory compliance and operational transparency. This article provides step-by-step instructions for editing packaged article batches and their corresponding harvest batches in CANNAVIGIA. By following these procedures, you ensure that all batch adjustments, such as packaging details, weights, and materials, are precisely synchronized in both records, supporting audit readiness and full supply chain accountability.
Following these steps ensures that any edits you make to the packaged article are reflected in both the corresponding Harvest Batch and the Article Batch.
To edit an Article Batch that has already been packaged, you must edit it within the Harvest Batch that originated it. To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to Cultivation > Harvest and open the Harvest Batch that contains the Packaged Article Batch you want to edit
- Open the Packaged tab and locate the Article Batch
- Click on the green Edit button
- The Package window will open, allowing you to edit the following information:
- Packaging Date
- Expiration Date
- Storage Area
- Batch ID
- Packaged Weight
- Packaging Material
- For the Packaging Date, Expiration Date, Storage Area, and Batch ID, adjust the values as needed and click Save
- To correct the packaged weight, start by removing the incorrect one by clicking on the X button next to the weight
- Then enter the desired weight, you can still associate a scale and click on Add
- You can review the info and then click on Save to change the packaged weight
- The weight is now updated in both Harvest and Article Batches:

You can also edit the Packaging Material section. If you forgot to add packaging, you can include it later:
- In the same window, add your packaging materials by selecting the Article, Batch, and Amount
- Click on the Add button
- Once added, it's possible to see it in the Article Batch traceability:
