Correct Waste on Cultivation Batches
Manage Waste Records and Restore Destroyed Plants in Cultivation Batches
Maintaining accurate records of waste management and plant destruction is a critical part of cannabis cultivation compliance. In Cannavigia, any correction you make, whether to a waste entry or a plant destruction record, is automatically updated in the corresponding cultivation batch and logged in the Log tab. This ensures full transparency and provides a permanent audit trail of all changes, allowing operators and compliance officers to rely on a complete, auditable history.
Best Practices
-
Always double-check entries before saving to minimize the need for corrections
-
Regularly review waste records to ensure that recorded information aligns with actual operational practices
-
Use the Log tab to review a history of all edits for audit readiness
In this article, you'll find this list of topics that you can click on to quickly access the information you need:
Correct a Plant Destruction
If you need to adjust or correct an existing waste entry in a cultivation batch regarding a plant destruction, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Cultivation > Projects and open the batch where the incorrect waste record was entered
- Within the batch view, go the Waste tab to see all recorded waste entries
- Find the specific waste entry that needs correction
- Click on the green Edit button
- Update the relevant information, such as Weight, Waste container, Date, Reason, Destroyed Plants and Task
- For compliance reasons you must also add a Reason for editing
- In this first example, the amount of destroyed plants was updated and a reason for editing provided
- After editing, click Save to confirm
Note: It is only possible to correct the number of destroyed plants to a lower quantity, not a higher one. For example, if the initial number of destroyed plants was 3, it cannot be corrected to 4. In that case, you should either record an additional destruction of plants or archive the existing record and create a new one.
