How To Apply Recipes to Individual Plant Batch or Multiple Plant Batches
This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to apply Recipes within your cultivation processes. Whether you're applying recipes to individual plant batches, multiple batches, or entire areas, you'll find clear instructions to help you document these actions efficiently. Notes:
Each Recipe must be created first in Cultivation>Recipes before it can be selected. More information can be found in the article: Create Recipes
Each Distribution equipment must be created in Facility>Equipment with the Intended Use Additive distribution. More information can be found in the artcile: Equipment
Apply Recipes
It is possible to log the application of several fertilizer components simultaneously, based on predefined recipes:
- Click on the Actions button in the Project list next to the plant batch where you wish to apply the recipe, or within its detailed view
- Select Apply Recipe
- Select a Recipe
- Enter a Date
- If the toggle subtract from inventory is on, then the user needs to select the Article batch of each additive
- Confirm the Concentrations or Amount in Recipe, depending on the recipe (pre-filled with information from the recipe) or change it to match the daily needs of the plants
- Input Amount and Unit applied of each additive of the recipe
- Select Distribution equipment
- Input Amount of water and Unit
- Input pH and EC
- Click on Save to log the application of the recipe and return to the Batch overview
To review the applied recipe and its associated additives, navigate to the Additives tab within the Detailed View of the plant batch:
Apply to Multiple Plant Batches
If the same recipe is added to several plant batches at the same time, you can record this application for all plant batches in the same project by following this process:

Navigate to Cultivation>Projects, and open the desired Project

Select all the plant batches by clicking on their respective lines; the selected plant batches will be visually highlighted in blue for easy identification

Click on +Recipes
- Follow the steps in point 2 from the previous section Apply Recipes

Click Save, Project detail view opens
Notes: When applying recipes to multiple plant batches simultaneously, the total amounts of each additive and water will be distributed proportionally based on the number of plants in each batch.
Apply In Area
You can easily apply recipes to all the plant batches in an area with the simple click of a button, allowing you to quickly document the application of additives for several plant batches.

Navigate to Facility>Areas or open the desired Area where you want to apply a recipe to all the plant batches

Click on the Actions button

Click on the green button Apply Recipe
- Follow the steps in point 2 from the section Apply Recipes

Click Save, Area detail view opens
Notes:
When the area and sub areas don’t have plant batches, it is not possible to perform the action of applying additive/recipe.
When applying recipes to an Area (multiple plant batches simultaneously), the total amounts of each additive and water will be distributed proportionally based on the number of plants in each batch.
Edit and Remove Additive Entries
Edit Additive Entries
To edit any additive entry in a recipe that has already been applied, navigate to the Additives tab within the plant batch you wish to modify:
- Click on the Edit button next to the entry you want to change
- Make the necessary changes, including: Date of application, Applied amount, pH, EC, Distribution equipment, and Amount of Water
- Providing a Reason for this edition is required
- Once you have made your adjustments, simply click Save to apply the updates
Remove Additive Entries
To remove any additive entry in a recipe that has already been applied, navigate to the Additives tab within the plant batch you wish to modify:
- Click on the red Remove button next to the entry you want to change
- Providing a Reason for removing the additive
- Click Save to remove the additive entry
